It’s a good day for watch enthusiasts, as TAG Heuer have just announced a slew of new limited-run watches, among them are these two beauties: the TAG Heuer Carrera X Porsche, and the Monaco Gulf Special Edition. Let’s begin with the former. It’s the second watch to emerge from Tag Heuer’s partnership with Porsche, and this time they’re leaning heavily into their motorsport roots with this black Carrera with contrasting racing yellow accents. Limited to 1500 units, the watch features design influences from Porsche such as the oscillating mass, which has been redesigned to mimic the iconic Porsche steering wheel, as well as the racing yellow Porsche logo on the Bezel. When the time comes to take this stunning timepiece on a night drive, legibility is maintained by the yellow glow of the Super-LumiNova on the dial and hands, ensuring a subtle yet racy aesthetic throughout the day. Finally, the yellow on black theme continues on the leather strap, which has been chemically treated to mimic the fabric of Porsche’s seats.

Next up is the TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition, which, like the Carrera X Porsche, features the Heuer 02 in-house movement. Equipped with a gorgeous brushed and polished steel case, the Monaco Gulf Special Edition, the watch features a contemporary take on the three iconic Gulf colours: a special dark blue, turquoise, and orange. As a first for one of TAG’s Gulf editions, this watch features the Gulf colours on the minute sub-counters at 3 o’clock, while the Gulf logo on the dial is completely white. Lastly, the 12 o’clock index is replaced by the number “60” – polished and rhodium plated - as a nod to the racing number used on Porsche Gulf racing cars.
