DESCRIPTION

Inspired by 19th-century sailor suitcases, this 18oZ waxed fabric and leather weekender is a product that will last a lifetime. A sustainable investment that will only improve over time, thanks mainly to the Vegetable Tanned Leather and its 18oZ Waxed Fabric. The same fabric used by Scottish sailors in 1850 on their voyages to protect themselves from winds and storms. An organic cotton fabric impregnated with beeswax gives it unique qualities, including waterproofing. Its fittings are made of pure brass, like those of ships, and its hammered copper rivets, making it practically unbreakable.

The perfect suitcase for any adventure, whether traveling to the city or in the mountains. You can even take it to the cabin of the plane without a problem. In addition, its ergonomic design focused on comfort, thanks to its shoulder strap and its handle, will allow you to carry weight for hours without hardly noticing it.

It is a very spacious suitcase, which is surprising in terms of capacity. It consists of 3 outer pockets. Two sides and the main one with a YKK Excella zipper that is divided inside into another 4 pockets. Perfect for storing your laptop, documents, clothes, and shoes for a couple of days or a weekend, devices, cables, or a camera.

Probably the last suitcase you will need for the rest of your life because no matter how the years go by, it will still be as new or even better than new.

MATERIAL

We use only 100% vegetable-tanned Specialty leather. Our leather comes solely and exclusively from sustainable processes, following a rigorous selection process and using only artisanal methods. This leather will evolve over time and create a unique patina that will give it a very personal touch.

Originally the concept of the waxed canvas has been developed at the beginning of XV. Century by English sailors.
The fleets of North Sea Scottish Herring, who operated from the ports on the east coast, began treating the linen cloth with fish oils and animal fats in an attempt to waterproof their sails, keeping them light and efficient. When these sails were worn out the remaining pieces of cloth were used as layers to resist strong winds and sea mist, keeping sailors warm and dry.
These layers were the pioneer of the famous raincoat fishermen used to wear during their working hours.
